For those of you who do not get the link between shot and title, the 99 is an Ice Cream that we have here in the UK.
It consists of a cone, vanilla ice cream, a Cadbury's chocolate flake and strawberry sauce.
The origins of why it is called a 99 are lost in the mists of time. Some says its origins are Italian, but I prefer the legend of its Scottish origin.
This particular story of the 99's origin is that the '99' was coined in Portobello, Scotland, in 1922, by the Arcari family. Rudi Arcari's father Stephen came up with the idea not long after opening his shop in 1922. He would break a large 'Flake" in half and stick it in an ice cream. A Cadbury's rep took this idea to his company. The rep asked Arcari what he called it, and he gave it the name 99 simply because the shop was sited at 99 Portobello High Street. The idea spread locally, then further afield.
If someone asked me what my favourite summer treat is, the 99 would be near the top of the list.
I have assumed 99 days to go because I will be doffing my cap at the leap year and taking 366 photos!

What a great shot - so bright and summery! When I was young and dinosaurs still roamed the earth, the 99 was 99p . Sadly no more but they still taste great!

@fannyb It isn't sat Fanny. OK first, shoot a blue background on its own. Then shoot the ice cream against the blue background. Stick a BBQ skewer in the back of the cone and get someone to hold the skewer. Then cut out the ice cream cone and layer it on top of the blank blue background. 'Tis easy. I'd say half an hour from making the ice cream to finishing the shot and uploading.

@seanoneill HAHAHA. Part of me is flattered beyond reason and that silly part says thank you. The other part wants to smack you with a comic book (because I have one within reach) as it thinks that will make you realize how delusional you were in including me on that list. A third part says, just stop typing now and go and have a good, long laugh about it. And maybe take the time to eat a few biscuits and drink an iced Milo too. I think I'll do just that. 8D
