Off to Nottingham on thursday night, for a lovely meal out with friends and then onto see Madness for several pints of cooking lager and a bit of a stomp.
I love all sorts of music, but I never miss a Madness concert at christmas, thi sis about my 12th in the last 13 or 14 years!! All the old hits come out, and I have a right good old jump up and down.
This was taken during their last song, that old favourite "Night Boat to Cairo!" I am glad that I can still manage some sort of mosh even at the tender age of 47.
Taken on my phone. I asked Sam for my Lumix back as he hadn't returned it since his China trip. I charged the battery and off I went to Nottingham, to find that when I went to take a shot he had taken my memory card out!!!!
So, probably my cr*ppiest shot of the year, but I guess if it's the worst thing that happens to me this week I can't complain.

Oh Sean! - that moment when you try to take a shot - nothing happens - for a moment you go 'What the ....' then you see the dreaded message NO SD CARD INSERTED!! maddening!! Great fun though! and so good for the soul!
Hmm. Can't agree about Madness I'm afraid (being a total music snob). They were too much the pop end of ska for me. Good news though. Got my ticket for Neville Staples today! OK he's not Terry Hall but looking forward to some live pre-Christmas Specials music.
@fueast Room for both I think. I saw The Specials at Rock City and Nottingham Arena in the last couple of years, and they are still one of the best live acts around. Madness are great fun though, nothing to dislike IMHO, though of course you are entitled to yours.
@seanoneill Well yes just my weirdness. They are all great to dance to although found my legs quite tired after sat nights moonstomping! Need to get back into training.

I like the shot, its right there in the moment. I used to love Madness, loved them when they did the youngones episode... Hey I still mosh too... I have tickets to see Blink 182 in February. I bet they will not allow cameras though.
@sugarmuser good for you. Bet they will be great. I'm currently sat up waiting for Sam to get back from seeing You me at six in London, but my first ever gig, Thin Lizzy 34 years ago seems like yesterday!!
