Storm passing over ~ 2 by seanoneill

Storm passing over ~ 2

Another shot of the Power Station from last week, when the storm clouds passed over.

Processed in Silver Exex Pro with the clouds accentuated and sky darkened.

Colour version in my second album.

The weather here is so dull at the moment, making landscape work so difficult, but I am in London again on thursday so have an hour or so set aside for my camera!

Us Brits are famous the world over for complaining about the weather. We are very lucky though, we never really get the extremes of weather that other parts of the world get. My heart goes out to the people of Oklahoma who have been so devastated by the tornadoes of the last 24 hours. You are in my thoughts.
I share your sentiments. Such an awful tragedy.

Fav for your shot.

Well framed shot Sean. Thanks for your thoughts.

You need to frame or mount some of these power station photos Sean, or get a local gallery/library to allow you to exhibit some, they are awesomely good! fav

@ozziehoffy @wadazomo Thanks Cass. Not at all Dave, I am sure that I speak for all us Brits in saying how awful a tragedy it is, and send our best wishes for all those affected.

Really like this format with the mass of black sky above the dramatic clouds. It so clearly demonstrates the forces of nature. I too share your sentiments about the tragic loss of life in Oklahoma.

Fab..... very moody.

The b&w accentuates the drama of your shot - I like the way the steam stands out from the mass of clouds behind.

Well said Sean.
I like the way the arc of light of the rainbow cuts through the dark cloud.

Wow, the Silver Efex is really darmatic...in skilled hands, super image!
Join with you in your sentiments Oklahoma. The US has had more than its share of tragedies recently.

The black sky really sets this off. I appreciate your comments about Oklahoma. You have always been compassionate about our frequent American tragedies.

That is incredible.

Mmm...which version...hard to choose. I think I like the color for the rainbow and the b&w for overall image.

Amazing dramatic b&w, great processing! For the briefest moment my brain went to Chernobyl, but I told it to get back here this instant. What an incredible landscape you've captured here. I like the colour version too, but I love this one for its intensity.

So dramatic! Superbly processed!

Wow what a sky... it's been doing bonkers things today too but you're right, nothing on the extremes elsewhere. (I did think reports of snow in May were a little bizarre though even for the UK)
