John O' Gaunt viaduct ~ 1 by seanoneill

John O' Gaunt viaduct ~ 1

This is the disused railway viaduct at John O' Gaunt on the old Melton Mowbray to Market Harborough railway.

The colour version will be in my 2nd album, and I will post a few more tomorrow.

I have been planning to shoot it for some time so headed out there today.

After a 10 minute walk through a field full of bulls I got there just as the heavens opened and I got soaked to the bone.

I plan to return on a brighter day.
Instant FAV Sean, I am a sucker for these viaducts! Great shot mate!

Nice one .like the moody skies. Bit like when I got soaked at ribblehead!

Another WOW shot Sean. Well worth the effort. I look forward to seeing the shot of the bulls or, better, a self portrait with a look of terror on your face! This one maybe breaks a rule, which I like. My eye is drawn to the nearest arch (because of the brightness presumably) while the line of the viaduct takes me into the distance. I like the tension that creates.

Love the meadow here. Contrasts really well with the dramatic viaduct.
