Loughborough Carillon by seanoneill

Loughborough Carillon

One of only a handful of working Carillons in the UK, Loughborough Carillon is situated in Quuen's Park.

I wanted to take the opportunity to thank those of you who take time regularly to look at my project and post comments. They are always appreciated.

I like the low pov and the framing with the trees Sean. Great decision to make your main album B&W too, rather brave of you I think :)

Many thanks - I was too lazy/busy to look it up myself but my husband has just found me a you-tube clip of it playing - it's amazing! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0K_f9nAJcHo

This is so lovely. I had to good carillons to find out what they were. I'll head over to the colour version for your explanation too.

Had to Google this! What an amazing instrument. Thanks for the enlightenment. Love the processing, btw.

I rather like the way the picture is in two halves - the grassy foreground with the leaves leads you nicely to the main subject area where you have used the good old rule of thirds. Interesting decision.

Fabulous, with the framed bell tower and low point of view.

The way you left so much foreground in this image makes viewers feel as if they are walking up to the carillon. Nicely done!

Reminds me of a Carillon in my hometown area RIchmond, VA. Great black and white series by the way.
