Photo 652
Longhill Plantation, New Covert
This is an old photo, converted to B+W for the first time, and also to square format.
So, another Michael Kenna style shot. I think it needs to be seen against the black background viewed large.
I make a calendar every year using my photos and give it to family and friends. The original will be January's photograph on the calendar.
Here is a link to the original colour rectangular aspect photograph. I think the original is my favourite ever photograph.

Did you make it to Runcorn? Looks like you've been inspired. Wonderful simplicity.

I did make it, and I have been inspired. I will be back up to see the exhibition again in November. One trip is not enough.

What a great image -- I have been looking to photograph negative space for my get pushed challenge this week and this is a photo I would have loved to have been able to produce! I went to see the original, and wow . . . what a fabulous tint of blue.

Great tones. The curve of the hilltop and positioning of the grove is very pretty indeed.

I love the subtle layers in this and the hint of texture in the snow.

I love these minimalist landscapes. They look so simple but they're actually quite hard to do. I love the original as well. Fav
