A shot from our recent holiday, taken at Hurst Spit.
I apologise for the lack of commenting on your projects. We had a very hectic weekend, and this week is busy with hospital trips, ferrying kids about, meetings and then Rebecca and I are off to Paris for 3 days at the end of the week.
I think the image benefits from the size of the people which serve to emphasise the vastness of the sky. I don't imagine it would be as dramatic in colour but it would still be nice to see :)
Wonderful shot that conveys a grand scale because of the little silhouettes. Love the hint of the flare. Paris -- wow -- have a great time!! That sounds so exotic -- a weekend in Paris. I'm envious!
I agree with others, I think the small scale nature of the people adds to the feeling of being part of a vast space. And the sun rays are the icing on the cake. Fav.
The proportions of placement used are excellent, just the right amount of sun-flare, the people so minuscule below and the spread of the land gently arching. Beautiful. :-)
I would have known this was yours without seeing the name. You are vary good at creating an interesting image even though the main subject is a small part of the photo.
Sorry a bit late but Wow, 100k....... doesn't seem that long since I first logged on 365. Mostly brilliant photos - just make sure you keep posting even though your schedule of work and family is hectic.
Have a great trip.
it almost looks like a spaceship is ready to land from the sky and take those tiny little figures back to their planet. not sure why that was my first thought! love the big feel to your photo.
