I had to pop to the Audi dealer in Nottingham, so took a drive through the Clifton Estate. I spotted this old garage which has been closed for years and is now overgrown with weeds. Towering above it are an old peoples home on the right and a tower block on the left.
Hopefully a series I can add more to if I get the chance to visit our 3 local cities in the weeks and months ahead.
As Mark says, lots of detail if you press the big button.
The blocky building and foreground weeds are so different than the larger buildings. None are very attractive, but together they make an image worth studying.
What a forlorn place this looks, great comp and of course perfect b&w. Not a part of Nottingham we came across when our daughter was at uni there. This image saddens me but makes me realise how lucky I am to live somewhere beautiful.
I thought that this was the Audi dealership and thought that business must be bad. Great gritty piece, Sean. Keep thinking how cool it is that you have Costco, too. Love how small the world becomes with 365.
Another desolate scene, architecture so bleak and soulless and the one place once full hope and activity, the garage, closed down and decaying. Superb image Sean.
