We had a very enjoyable day with my customers and business partner at the Grand National yesterday.
The winner was Pineau de Re at 25/1, and Rebecca picked it!! On the casis that she liked the name, we applied the same logic in the last race to Ballybolley, because our customers are from Ireland and we like Bollinger, it duly obliged at 14/1. Throw in another winner and two big priced place bets and it was a successful day.
Here is the winner crossing the line at the end of a very eventful 4 mile race.
Racing is a sport that I love dearly, and I took a lot of photos of the races themselves. I am consciou sthat they would probably just be "another racing shot" to many, so I am only going to post a few shots of horses and grass. Instead I will post a few more shots of our day that concentrate on the people we saw from our very high vantage point.
A fav from me! I also love a day at the races and usually pick what friend Ron picks...he's avid follower! But the national is the national, I wasn't so lucky!
What a great action shot, Sean, fav. Glad you had success, my horse fell at the third fence , johns finished but 6 th I think. Hope Sam enjoys the US, what's not to enjoy!
A Grandstand view, eh? The things you gave to do for the sake of business! Very well timed shot and Rebecca has now made her fortune! :-) What a good day out!
Brilliant shot of the winner, we all had a bet on home, my 6 year put an each way bet on double seven because he liked the name and was really chuffed to win some money back. Also really pleased for the second year running no horses were lost.
