From a distance, I spotted a couple standing and examining something on the side of the walking path. Once they left, I walked to where they were standing and discovered this lovely bloom which I found out was a passion flower. Hence, this photo. Have a great day.
Love the angle you've captured this from. It grows well in this part of the UK a very symbolic flower Roman Catholic priests of the late 1500's named it for the Passion of Jesus Christ. They believed that several parts of the plant, including the petals, rays, and sepals, symbolized features of the Passion. The fruit is edible although I've never tried it!! Beautifully captured Fav.
