Empty

Empty wisteria pods.

Each year I like to harvest some of the wisteria seeds. The longest pod here is about 10 inches and had an impressive 5 seeds inside but normally there's only 2 or 3 seeds in each.
Thanks for sharing.

I thought about the seed pod I photographed in my front yard a few days ago during our first frost... it is not yet open. Nice POV here and I like the paper towel as background.

You should have lots of wisteria next year😃

@jb030958 I give most of them away but they're so easy to grow. The problem is that they can take up to 7 years before they flower. Good for covering unsightly walls and fences though.

@kvphoto I opened these with a knife as they were ripe enough to pick. The seeds are really pretty when fresh but soon go dull and flat as they dry out.

I like this flat lay. I never noticed these pods on wisteria. I will have to look more closely next year.

I think this is a clever illustration of empty! Will you plant the seeds?

The paper towels really help make this photo without detracting from the subject. Nice.

Oddly, the paper towel adds a nice texture to the image, really nicely composed as well!
