This is a photo that a man standing at the top of Victoria Falls in Africa taken by one of the first female photographers for National Geographic Annie Griffiths. She gave a fascinating presentation and showed some of her amazing photography. Two things from her presentation that I took away were that even though we may not be able to communicate with the same language we can still make human connections with body language and also that we should refrain from making decisions based on fear which is the root of hatred. Here are some links with more information about her: http://www.anniegriffiths.com/about/ and http://photography.nationalgeographic.com/photography/photographers/photographer-annie-griffiths/ In addition to going to the presentation I also got some homework done and happen to bump in to some people that I've met before and weren't expecting to see but wanted to see them; like that guy looking at the plant from last week.
Wow- I can't believe that guy is walking along the edge of the falls like that!! We have photographers come to speak at our club sometimes and it's always very inspirational.
