it started as a fairly boring close up of a peg (plastic grey peg, not the wooden one from yesterday). I just played a bit and used the fractal setting on GIMP to produce this surreal image.
New toy arrived today and this is taken using it, but by the time I'd found it and bought an SD card because the one on order had not turned up I didn't have a lot of light to get a shot.
OMG! Isn't there an ETSOOI challenge still going? I am not sure. I cannot keep them all straight. But this is phenomenal ETSOOI! I thought this was a wood carving but yet not...was not sure. and then you said it was a peg. I am thinking you mean "clothespin" is what we call it in the US. This is amazing! Just great
For the Get Pushed challenge, I would love to see you take this same abstract approach to do a self portrate! Hopefully that will allow you to use some of the new setting on your camera. I hope this challenges you, and look forward to seeing what you come up with. :)
@annp2014 thank you Ann - it's under filters -> map -> fractal trace - although there's another version. It's been a while since I played with all the filters.
