Get Pushed 78 - from Disha Parekh:
I recently discovered the word Pareidolia, which is a psychological phenomenon that allows us to see human faces in everyday objects. A common example is http://www.architectstudio3d.org/AS3d/images/people_facehouse.jpg
Your challenge is to take a photo like that. And if you can't find one, just make one :)
This is a building on a cut through to the High Street from me with lots of details I like, grungy textures, pipes, wires, doors that were blue and red (now repainted) and this bit - a bottom corner - which looks like a face to me.
Great find! A friend sent me a link yesterday with faces in every day items. I thought that would be a good project when I struggled with a photograph for the day.
@markrlemon the example quoted was a bit extreme - there's a group on Flickr where you can post these faces - it's called I see faces everywhere http://www.flickr.com/groups/1369613@N22 - I can find trees around here too with faces, but was doing chores around the town
@shannejw It's a good project, but could send be a bit more doo-lally, I know what you mean about trees... I'll check out the site... cheers.....
that's amusing :)
I put a comment on your photo here...but now it is gone when I came back to post the link to a pic with a found face. Pareidoila is what that is called? Learn something new every day
that is awesome! perfect find and perfect for that word :) we did that for a mad minute word challenge last year... such fun! http://365project.org/tags/Pareidolia
that's amusing :)
