Tall Ships Greenwich

Tectona (with sails up) and Excelsior outside the old Royal Naval College taken from one of the river boats. It amused me as it looks to me the sort of painting you see from the 1700s onwards, with the Wren chapel and buildings behind and the sailing boats in the foreground.

We had tickets to A Comedy of Errors at the Globe, so came in using the cable car to get views of boats from above and then took a river boat up the Thames from North Greenwich to Bankside Pier and sailed past these ships.

Thank you so much for looking and your lovely comments. You are all wonderful. If you comment here I will look at your pictures rather than thank you.

@northy more dirty window on the boat gave it a texture - but it worked, so I left it.

This is beautiful and the slight mist really adds to the feel of a painting. How great to get out on the water as well (thanks for the names of the ships as well!)
