Monday is market day, first market this year, so not all the stalls were taken. This is the end of a stall that sells hats and bags - the other end was covered with hats, but they were being taken apart as I went past, so although the pattern was fun, there were gaps and a moving arm. There isn't a lot of fresh produce, but one stall sells fresh free range eggs, which was what I was buying, a fruit and veg stall and there's a new fish stall that I want to try.
Three good things:
1. I got out for a walk this morning
2. I got up in time to go out for a walk this morning (trying to get back into a routine after Christmas
3. Leftover rhubarb crumble and custard (gluten and dairy free) for supper (made for supper yesterday)
this brings back memories from my childhood back in the old country. the dry goods section of the public market would have stalls with their locally made handbags or merchandise arranged like this. now the locally made are limited to the far flung villages outside of the big city and in the big city are big markets selling knock offs of all first world big brands. i like the tan/black bag second from the top left. very nice capture. shanne. aces!
