Puddles today meant I could play with reflections - and it's ages since I last did this (really, I can find pictures on Flickr from 2012). This is from one of the little alleyways off the High Street, with a very old shop on the right and a Georgian building through an alleyway opposite. The building on the left has a blue plaque as it's on the site of Henry Doubleday's house - the seed guy. This is being tagged for:
1. Flash of Red February which is focusing on texture and pattern - and this mediaeval wood framed shop on the right has barge board wooden walls, a traditional building method in this area, bricks on the left and ahead and cobbles on the ground.
2. The 52 week Dogwood challenge which this week is no filter - shots presented as taken. I have converted this to black and white by using the desaturate function because I have so little control over the black and white camera settings and resized to upload. I would have straightened it otherwise.
3. Song title challenge - based on the Marmalade's Reflections of my Life
Three good things:
1. Puddles, I love puddles;
2. Almond crescent biscuits made tonight worked (no butter, just ground almonds, sugar and water);
3. Nice lazy day today
Thank you for looking and your lovely comments. I try to look at your pictures and thank you here in the comments rather than thank you individually below.
why don't we make this a "grand slam"? you should tag for Ross' monthly theme which is black and white: theme-blackwhite
i picture you on your stomach on the muddy ground taking this picture, because this is so brilliantly composed and the camera seems to be submerged in that water. so tell me my imagination is just too much! :-) aces!
