This is an attempt for the Get Pushed challenge, for which @kali66 challenged me to:
"how about doing a tilt-shift image, using the miniature feature of your camera and/or you can try achieving a similar result through post processing. Getting a high viewpoint of a street scene can help make such an image successful"
I had hoped to get into position at the British Library or St Pancras for a high vantage point, on Tuesday, but didn't have time, so this is taken from the road bridge above the tube station - using the miniature setting on the camera. My other favourite places if I can't get into London are a bridge over the steam train route, but I can't get out there at the moment. Previous attempt here Whitechapel Station
Three good things:
1. Nearly finished putting craft packs together
2. Daughter managed two wanders today
3. My foot is nearly the right shape if I don't stand on it too long.
Thank you for looking and all your wonderful comments and faves on the British Library candid. I prefer to spend time looking at your pictures rather than thanking you individually below.
@koalagardens@sangwann total cheat - this is the end of the line now. There is a line that continued to another 3 stations behind me, but that is now being used by a steam train.
I like this shot, with it's nicely lit station and still a glow in the sky. I've never had much success with in camera tiltshift, so I tend to use tiltshiftmaker online in post processing.
My little point and shoot has this setting but I'm never really convinced it miniaturizes my subject. It appears to have worked for you. Good shot! (Glad the toe is getting better too!)
