We shall have snow, and what will the robin do then, poor thing?
A photo taken while the sun was still shining before a grey gloomy weekend, which eventually included snow. It was actually taken by my wife, but it was a sort of collaborative project. On a day that was mildish and sunny I got out into the garden for the first time in weeks, if not months, and was happily weeding and clearing when I was joined by a pair of robins who followed me around the borders, repeatedly posing for photo opportunities. I examined my grubby hands, decided that soil, cameras and lenses are not a good combination, and so summonsed my wife with her camera and new lens. She duly appeared with camera and tripod in one hand, and a mug of tea for me in the other (bless her). I dug over a patch of soil, and stood back with my tea while the robins posed, and my wife photographed. This is just one of several images that she took.
This is amazing! I tried to capture a robin in the recent snow, but just couldnt get close enough, even in stealth mode! I love the sharpness and detail, what a fantastic shot!
Wonderful portrait of this lovely little bird. You can see the feathers in detail and his little legs too. Amazing. Your wife should get herself a profile! A Fav from me :)
