We took a route around the wildlife pond this morning, and I was surprised to find part of the path under water. I’m not sure why I was surprises – we haven’t had hours of prolonged rain, but when it has arrived, it has arrived with attitude, torrential downpours bouncing off of the patio. I am perfectly content with this sort of rain, especially when there is the drama of thunder and lightning thrown in. The rain is warm, the sun returns before too long, and the ground never really gets muddy enough to require a dog hosing session. Should I ever consider being grumpy about this summer rain, I will just have a look at last summer’s 365 images – that really was a summer to be grumpy about.
