New Life by shepherdman

New Life

Easter time and I would love to say that New Life is emerging all over the countryside, but this year Spring is having a little trouble reaching full speed, with hedgerows displaying just a sprinkling of green instead of the sheen of green normally present by now as the hawthorn leaves begin to open. Few of the shrubs and trees have more than small leaf buds, but on the path down to the village large Horse Chestnut, or conker tree, buds are just emerging, soon to expand into the massive lobed leaf of the conker tree, followed by the large candle-like Horse Chestnut blooms. When these appear I know that spring really has become established. Whatever New Life you experience at this time of the year, I hope that you enjoy a Happy Easter.
It is wonderful to see even this amount of spring green. I have just noticed the trees changing subtly and feel in another week we may begin to see the same signs you and your wife have posted here. We still have snow on the ground. Temperatures seldom get out of the 30's. But what I really thought is how this macro shot I would have thought as more you wife's while you shot the big picture. You guys threw me off this morning.
