n this particular evening dog walking was a duty; it was wet, it was windy, it was cold. But when
you are managed by two dogs one must do what one must do, and so we set off under dark skies,
rain blowing into our faces as we headed down the field track. If we had looked over our shoulders
we would have seen blue skies advancing on us, and by the time we reached the "cows field" the
rain had stopped, there was blue sky overhead and the low evening sun bathed the field in gold.
Ahead of us dark skies were n full retreat, providing a contrasting backdrop for the luminous
countryside before us.
