It’s been a holiday of dramatic skies that have delivered dramatic showers, and we have been taken by surprise on a few occasions. Yesterday I entertained residents of a nearby village as I struggled to pull my over-trousers on over my boots, pirouetting on one foot in an ungainly ballet in pouring rain. Today heavy hail caused us to abandon a riverside walk in favour of a medieval castle where fortunately some of the roof remained. Heavy rained persisted as we explored the village below the castle, and we were forced to take refuge in a dog-friendly pub. We peered out of the window, but the rain continued, and we had no option but to remain in front of the wood-burning stove, eating pork pie and pickles washed down with a pint of the local ale (or fruit cake, local cheese and coffee in the case of @shepherdmanswife), the dogs asleep at our feet. And then I had to have another half pint. So frustrating…..
All that weather produced some very dramatic skies for you to photograph - great image!
