That water on the slipway is a foot deep. It doesn’t look a foot deep, bit I know it’s a foot deep because while @shepherdmanswife was balancing behind her tripod, with her left foot on the slipway and her right foot on the slightly higher quay, the water swirled up the slipway and filled her left boot. Technically the water on the slipway should be described as @shepherdmanswife ‘s left-foot-deep.
