At last, a weekday evening walk in daylight – well, almost daylight, by the time elderly Lesia had been for a short walk, and I returned to Croft Hill with Tia. I love these trees, on the side of the hill, especially on a winters evening with bare branches silhouetted by a steely blue sky. As you climb over the stile onto the Hill these trees are slightly above you to your right, the low point of view enhancing the effect against the sky
