Demolition Lane by shepherdman

Demolition Lane

Tia and I are regulars along this lane, which connects the path leading down to the village (and pub!) to a footpath to the "Milleniun Wood", which borders one side of the lane. The other side was once lined with concrete houses, apart froma couple of bungalows. The poorly insulated concrete houses probably seemed a good idea at the time - quick and cheap to construct at a time when energy saving was not an issue. Now just one such residence remains, the remainder having been demolished to to make way for modern luxury homes. Two of the demolitions have taken place recently, with one new home almose complete, and one, as we passed today, having the roof installed to a partly built house, the owners temporarily residing in a on-site caravan until their brand new home is complete.
Times & progress. It looks like a lovely place to walk & the bonus pub at the end🍻I like the bird on the gate.

Its funny how some scenes are so familiar to ourselves that you think no-one else wants to see them but thats not so! Its good to see all that is around!
