One third of our Leylandii fir tree. The other two-thirds are in the neighbours garden. Storm Doris passed through this afternoon while I was working at home, but even though the patio doors to the sudy overlook the garden, I didnt notice the damage until I took Tia out for a walk. Miraculously the trunk is supported by branches and foliage, now lying next doot, and the fence doesnt seem to be damaged. I'm not sure that I can say the same about the neighbour's shrubs though......
Oh dear - that's what our neighbourhood looks like too... tree trunks and debris everywhere! Such a mess. We aren't too far, I suppose [us being in Birmingham]. I'm glad it's passing over... should be altogether gone by midnight, they say.
That's too bad. I hope that the neighbor's property was not damaged much. We have recently been getting wind shear that have downed large trees causing power outages and damage to property. It's too bad because I like big, mature trees.
Doris really had her wicked way with you then. Glad no-one was hurt when it came down. I have been watching a stand of Beech trees at the bottom of our garden blowing vertically all afternoon and waiting for some of them to come down but I guess they were supporting each other!
Oh dear not good but a great capture. We have been very lucky and missed the worst of the storm. Apparently the eye of the storm was right over Cumbria and this is why we have missed everything.
