Sheep are back in the "Cows Field" - the first tenants of the season, able to graze the sodden riverside turf without churning it into mud. If the farmer follows his normal routine, cows will be moved onto the pasture, once the grass is dry enough to cope with the half tonne or so of beef, and the sheep will be grazing elsewhere, until ready to be accompanied by mint sauce....
