The footpath circumnavigating the fields at the back of our home drops down to the river, and then follows a brook, more of a drainage ditch really. On the far side is the semi-manicured paddock of Huncote Mill, lying between river and ditch, and often flooded. This morning this low-lying pasture was enveloped in a hint of mist, with just a touch of frost, almost a heavy dew, with the morning sun shining through the trees, still leafless in early spring.
