The foggy mornings continue, making for an atmospheric walk around Croft Hill this morning. After this shot I walked up the hill, taking one or two more photos, a couple more from the top, and another as we walked down the far side of the Hill. At this point I realised that I no longer had a lens cap, despite carefully checking every pocket. I retraced my steps, scanning the ground where I had stopped for photographic purposes, searching the drifts of leaves at each spot, but to no avail, and I returned home, now later for work than I intended. Changing out of my muddy trousers, a black disc rolled from a pocket and onto the floor. How do lens caps do that disappearing and reappearing trick?
Lens caps have a life of their own, for me usually hiding in the pocket l thought l wouldn't put it in. Great atmospheric shot, surreal with that colouring
