Country Lane by shepherdman

Country Lane

The original lane leading from Croft Hill into the old village centre of Croft. The modern road is at the bottom of an embankment behind and below the white fence, descending to a junction before climbing into the village to join the original route. Around this corner is "our" pub. On a summers evening it is pleasant to sit outside, with, thanks to its elevated position, has a view across to the more modern part of the village.
So lovely.

A gardener would call this a herbaceous border, but sometimes Nature can be left to her own devices.

How lovely. These appear to be wildflowers, but probably planted there by someone who loves to garden.
