After returning hot and dusty, even before 10am, from this mornings dog walk, I settled on the shady bench by the garden pond to cool off. This Common Darter (I think) was darting around and kept alighting on a particularly vivid pond plant. I showed the image to @shepherdmanswife who promptly grabbed her camera, and, by the time I followed, she was happily photographing two Darters mating. They bith looked the same to me, and so I have no idea whether my shot is of a Mr or Mrs.
