A cool walk throught the dew-laden grasses around the field edges this morning, the low sun bright and dazzling in front of us. We crossed the lane that winds up Croft Hill and through the kissing-gate onto this track. From here we have a choice of routes - along the track to the wildlife ponds, up adjacent steep steps to the quarry edge, or the more gentle climb to Croft Hill. The dogs did not have a clue which was to be the chosen route and so had to sit patiently while I took this shot. We opted for the homeward-bound Croft Hill route
