Before The Fall

Tonights sunset. Tonight the clocks fall back by an hour - next week I might still be on my way home from work at sunset. I was interested to read "Fall" was the British term for "Autumn" in 16th century Elizabethan times. Maybe we should adopt it again - at least we would remember which way the clocks go.

We call it fall and autumn, and when we turn our clocks back the way I've always remembered by "falling back". Not helpful in the spring though.
