How beautiful is this Eryngium planum flower. Amazing blue too! There are few flowers, comparatively speaking, that are blue. This insect was obviously attracted and was busy having his dinner!
Best viewed large to see the detail in the insect!
@annied OMG, I have just heard that Paul has been in an accident! I was going to ask you today where he has got to and whether there was something wrong, but then I saw your message. I am shocked and so sad for you. I can't imagine what you are going through. How did you get to know about the accident? If you get to talk to him, other than through 365, please tell him we are thinking of him and wishing him a quick recovery and that we miss him too. Big hug to you both!
Thanks for the FAV too.
@shepherdmanswife Hey:) I have been talking to him every day outside 365 for a while now - Paul made sure that if ever there was a reason he could not contact me that I would be contacted - his family are keeping Paul and I connected and letting me know what is happening - I will keep his 365 friends informed on my project and I have told him that everyone is thinking of him
@annied@khirsch@jodimuli@vskolnik@appsie@swilde@tristansmum@janine3@bardejov@friend2303@onie_m@pflaume@mercuria@aecasey Thank you all for your wonderful comments and for the FAVs too. Makes it all worthwhile when you get such a response. I spent over an hour outside our house, sitting on the grass next to the road last night, snapping away and waiting for the light to be right and the insect to pose! Most of course were out of focus as had to be hand held (without IS) as the insects just keep on moving from one flower to another! Worth it in the end though! Thanks again
@annied Oh that is wonderful. Thank goodness this arrangement had been made. Can't wait to have him back on 365. I haven't been on 365 long but he has been my favourite 365 er since day one, and when I realised there was a connection between you two that made it even better! Love a good love story! Thinking of you both and wishing you well. Thanks for the update.
@shepherdmanswife He was my favourite too - over time we have formed a very special bond - distance has not stopped us from connecting - his family have told me i am making a difference even from so far away - there is still a long way to go - his injuries are serious - but I feel it in my heart that he will get well and come back to me - he needs all the prayers , love and kind thoughts that can be sent his way - thank you so much for caring about both of us
Very nice shot . I recognize your problems with handheld shooting close to the ground with the 60mm, thinking of buying a bean-bag for close to the ground work myself. For shooting higher up I most times use a mono-pod it helps a lot with the stabilizing and keeps you free to move around.
Thanks for the FAV too.
