in Charnwood Forest, North Leicestershire. This was also taken during the hour that we were there on Sunday, late afternoon, waiting for the sunset with the elusive stag to be silhouetted against the sun!
That didn't happen and it was freezing cold, but enjoyable. Nice to get out and about somewhere different and the dogs enjoyed the different doggy smells!
Absolutely gorgeous -- the balance of the whole scene , the composition, the wonderful sky ,the textures, I simply just love the whole scene !! and a big FAV
My 365 friend Karin @karink challenged me to post landscapes for three days and name three other 365ers to do the same. So I challenge @taffy@joemuli and @gerry and hope you can find the time to participate. The photo can be taken whenever, it does not have to be new. Please use the tag feb15landscapechallenge. I hope you find it fun!
Lovely shot. I like the foreground interest of detailed stone, the orange tone to the sky, but mostly I like the inviting doorway to the wooded area. Fav.
Wow, randomly looked at this pic from top 20 and was transported back to my childhood. I grew up in Leicestershire and so Bradgate Park was a regular spot to visit. I seem to remember a nice pub in Newtown Winford???? I now live in NZ but have fond memories of Bradgate and surrounding area... Thank you
