I set the clock for 5.30am to get a pre sunrise shot for the low light course that I am doing. Silly time to get up when you're on holiday, but hey ho, I went back to bed after this was taken at 6.03am. It was taken from the cottage where we are staying in Wales. The hills across the valley are just visible and the sun hasn't quite made it up yet.
I get up most every morning at 4:00 a.m. and never use an alarm. I like the quiet of the morning and having the rest of the house sound asleep (when I have company) is a lovely solitude. Great time to get photos. If you went back to bed does that mean you didn't capture any golden hour shots.
It's a pretty scene... but, being pickey, the distorted perspective of the gate produced by the W/A lens at close proximity, tends to pull my eye out of the shot. You deserve a Fav for rising early though... i tend to go to bed between 2 and 3 am so it's unlilkely that you would get me up at 5.30 am to take photographs!
Gorgeous shot! You have no idea how many times I have said I want to get up early and catch a sunrise, and it never happens!! Maybe if I went to bed before 1 AM....hmmm... the light is so much subtler in the morning....love this! FAV!!
