Reed Bunting

I spotted this bird on our bird table yesterday and thought it was unusual. It looked somewhat like a sparrow but wasn't quite right so took a shot or two and looked him up in our British Wildlife book. So I was really pleased to find it was a Reed Bunting, a bird that I haven't seen in the garden before.

that brown head would have niggled - not a sparrow! We have something called a Cirl Bunting which looks a bit like a sparrow but has a long tail!
