It was freezing cold with a bitter wind but the colours were lovely when the sun came up.
I set the alarm clock for 4.30am this morning to drive the 90 miles to the Peak District to see this. I had been looking at the weather forecast for the past week and today was going to be the only day with a sunrise, so took annual leave from work and up I went!
What dedication...!!! You've certainly put me to shame! Must really think about my dedication and motivation. And what a wonderful result you've achieved. Great light Fav.
What a panorama. It's like a lovely patchwork quilt. Seems you weren't the only one with that ideal. I'm impressed you would get up so early and drive so far. Like someone else said you are committed.
The colors are spectacular and there is something about the light which makes me almost able to feel the cold. Worth getting up at the crack of dawn for ;)
Beautiful shot! I'm glad to know u had a lovely day out with Ms Pouncy! ....but Im curious about something. .? ..why u r happy to define yourself in terms of your husband? Seems a little degrading to me...? ...but then I NEVER understood the whole girl/guy thing! I'm just curious from a gender studies point of view....? Hope that doesn't sound too weird...
@tabbycat I think you look too deeply. The answer is that WE are one, we are a team. I don't feel degraded at all but proud to be his wife and not afraid to say so.It never really occurred to me that it looked the way you are thinking of it. I just thought of it as a sign of affection or maybe I was just being too lazy to think of something original. It is what it is and we're both very happy with each other. Interesting question though. Thanks for asking. x
Thanks for not being freaked out by weird question from random stranger!
