Thank you all for your kind words. My boss doesn't have a heart, and you may be surprised to know that I work for local government. Perhaps it's not a surprise as they are cutting jobs left, right and centre, so anyway of getting rid of staff will do
There is still employment law. They would be on a sticky wicket to sack you if on sick! No different to bullying when you have a legitimate illness. Lovely image. Hope you get well soon.
I agree with @andrina about the law and what employers cannot do. Check it out. Pleurisy is serious and you can get very sick if you do not rest! Good to see this beautiful picture!
