Amazing image! I've seen one from a distance, & the picture I took was no where near as up close as this! Worthy of any picture in a book ! Definite fav!
Oh Chantal, I am so envious!! I have just spent two days on River Soar around Loughborough - and saw my first ever kingfisher! No chance to capture a shot though as it was skimming along the surface of the water. This is a super shot - and one I still aspire to! Very well done :-)
Fantastic shot Fav You were lucky to get this as a first sighting as I spent many hours watching them before I worked out where they perched. He kindly posed on an uncluttered branch too!
