New Zealand.
We walked up to the closest point to Mount Cook today. At last we are having some nice weather albeit a little on the cool side. The hike was 10 km long and was supposed to be on the flat. Was it? no it wasn't. I am absolutely shattered and in pain with my bad back and hips and my feet are blistering. This image is just the very top of the mountain taken with my 150-600mm lens so that you can see the glacier clearly.
What a great country New Zealand is!
@jyokota I would have loved to take my tripod too but the monster lens plus a 24-105 and a 15-35 was enough to cope with. In fact I was in so much pain walking back that @shepherdman had to carry most of them for me thank goodness.
@jyokota Junko I am so sorry to hear about your husband. That is so sad. I hope you do continue to put your heart and soul into your photography. So sad.
Smiling at the idea of a hike up a mountain being flat..... I hope you recover speedily from your efforts. The older I get, the more my head still thinks I can do it and my body says "hey, lady! We did it yesterday, give us a rest to catch up today!" Super shot of a magnificent place. Light is gorgeous.
Great clarity. Superb light.
