The bluffs along the rugged Northern California coastline have been eroding for years as a result of wave, wind, and rain action. We hiked along a popular seaside trail near Santa Cruz this afternoon and my daughter found a stone on the path that appeared to mimic in miniature the flat rock formations just off shore. I liked the echo of the stone and the wave-covered rock beyond, and the implication that one day these stones may be all that remain of these cliffs as natural forces continue their destruction.
Wonderful!! Sheri, I lived in the Santa Clara Valley most of my life. Several of my family have lived in Santa Cruz and I’ve been going there since I could walk. I remember my first ride on the Big Dipper. Enjoy your time on 365.
