Glad we had some sunshine today so I could highlight some rusty brackets I spied on an old wooden board. I used a macro filter for the first time. Have you tried one before?
@sherimiya Well the extension tubes I have are not that great, and don't allow any aperture or AF, so there was a lot of fiddling. But, they weren't too bad in and of themselves. But I also used a cheap slider, which was not that good, and so it was very frustrating to use. I ended up with ok results but it was not an experience I really cared for. I may try them again sometime now that I have a better slider, but I also have a macro lens so maybe not.
@swchappell Thanks for your input. I've borrowed a macro lens and can imagine that if I owned one I'd probably not bother with tubes and filters either. The filters are so easy to use and fun to play around with, I don't really need to try tubes but might try just to learn something.
