My very observant Get-Pushed partner this week noticed that I haven't been very loyal to the pic-a-day theme and challenged me to get back to taking and posting a pic a day... Fantastic! Exactly what I needed! I would not have taken my camera out today to get this shot which has caught my eye the past couple days as they have bloomed right below the azaleas. It's too cloudy ... I prefer the morning sunlight from behind ... And yet, here it is, actually quite beautiful, with its own glow even with no sun filtering in thru the petals. And in the process, I caught a couple birds AND the lilac. Not bad. Thanks, Megan!
