Wow! I haven’t posted anything since June??? It’s not that I haven’t taken any photos, I just apparently haven’t processed any of them!
Had an evening to myself at Blackwater Sat night. Once I got brave enough to get out of the car, which was an issue due to the thumb-sized deer flies (UGH!!!), I chased a few Monarchs as the sun was setting. I’m now on the search for the perfect shot, but until then, this one will have to do.
Welcome back. Beautiful. I had to laugh re the deer flies. Many long years ago I was choosing between two jobs as a Nurse Midwife...one in NH and one in OR...the deer flies in NH were a major factor in choosing the OR job! Soemthing about having cold miserable weather for so long and then when it finally gets warm the deer flies come in. Ugh
