This is the calf that was born Saturday night by cesarean. She is pure white. As you can see both Mother and baby are doing well. They will be going back out into the field in a couple of days.
The picture I posted of the cesarean is here http://365project.org/shirleybankfarm/365/2015-07-18
Sooooooooo glad they are both doing well and that baby is just adorable!! Love her little pink nose and ears!! Is the baby an albino? I don't see pink on her eyes, so must not be, but she sure is gorgeous!!! Love this shot and again so happy they are both fine!! FAV!
@gijsje@kimdavis@photographycrazy@tosee@elmay@susanalena@pamknowler@barneyone@snowy@bkbinthecity@tunia@evilsockmonkey@hermann@flowerfairyann@deborah63@sueb47 Thank you so much for your comments and once more getting my picture on the PP and TP. We had another cesarean birth last night (All well with Mam and baby again) and while we were waiting for the vet I was watching this little calf run and skip round and round her Mam in the pen, it was so cute. @cashew Kathy the calf is not an albino. Her dad is a British Blue and Mam is a British Blue crossed with a fresian which makes him a 3/4 bred British Blue. Animals with British blue in them can be pure white as this one is, blue (grey) and white like his Mam, black and white or even pure black. @flowerfairyann The calf was coloured as it was at birth because of the fluid in the womb. The calf had become stressed inside the cow, hence the cesarean, and had passed some waste inside the womb which had coloured the liquid.
