Village river. by shirleybankfarm

Village river.

After a visit to Kendal we got diverted on the way out because of one of the main bridges in the town being closed because of flood damage. Knowing the area we thought we would cut through by a small village called Burneside, only to find this road was also closed - again due to a bridge and the floods. We then cut through Skelsmergh where we came across this lovely little river.
A beautiful scene.

Looking beautiful today but water is very changeable as we know .......I elect this little river was a frightening raging torrent a few weeks back!

Great shot. There is something so peaceful about water whether it be a trickle or a raging torrent.

How beautiful! I think I can hear the rushing water!! Love the movement and how the property is so close to the edges of it! It must be wonderful to listen to at night!! Beautiful capture and a big FAV!
