These are our neighbours cows which are let out into this field after the evening milking. During the day they graze a field further away from the farm but they are let into this field for the night so they are easier to gather early in the morning.

This view always looks lush and green whatever the weather. Peter the average dairy herd size could be about 100 -150, but can be a as few as 30-40 or as many as 200+. I am not really up on my dairy statistics because we are a beef and sheep farm.
