Lost baby

I heard a high pitched squeak answered by another chirp while I was in the garden. When I look this little fledgling Wren was trying to hide while shouting of Mam. Unfortunately my husband came down to the house just then with one of our farm cats following him, so we had to move the chick where the cat couldn't get it. I went back later to where we had put it to see if it was alright but couldn't find it. I just hope it's Mam had found where we had moved it to.

Poor little thing, I hope it's ok. Must have been tiny as wrens are very small even when grown up!

Cute capture! I would think as long as you didn't move it too far it would have been ok, the parents would surely have heard it calling and swooped in with a feed!
